FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 18, 2020 The Hancock Resource Center will be here for families during the COVID-19 crisis. For the public’s health and safety, as well as that of HRC’s staff, Hancock Resource Center is available for critical housing needs by appointment only. All community education classes, Hancock Youth Leadership Academy programs, and community events have been suspended until further notice. We will provide updates as the situation unfolds, based on recommendations from federal, state, and local agencies. Requests for assistance may be placed in the lockbox located outside of Hancock Resource Center or faxed to 228-463-8901. The Assessment Card is available on the main page of our website, www.hancockhrc.org, in addition to physical copies placed beside the lockbox. Phone lines will remain open during normal business hours, but responses may be delayed due to large call volume. The office number is 228-463-8887. Our case managers will be checking the lockbox multiple times a day to process forms as they are received, in addition to responding to phone inquiries. Thank you for your patience throughout these next few weeks. The Hancock County community is resilient and resourceful, and we are proud to be a part of it. We recommend that our clients and stakeholders continue to stay current on best practices, as released by national and local health organizations, for staying healthy during the coronavirus outbreak. We will get through this together! ### |
