HYLA Junior High Program
The objective of this leadership program is a little different from traditional youth leadership programs. The ideal candidate for the HYLA Junior High Program is a student that has leadership potential, but has not yet had the opportunity to discover it. This program IS NOT for the young person that has already been identified as a leader by their teachers or peers. Rather than develop or bolster emerging leaders, the Hancock Youth Leadership Academy will help unlikely leaders recognize their potential and the stress the necessity of being successful and independent. Four workshops are scheduled throughout the Spring semester, including a retreat and graduation. The cost of the program is $100 per student; scholarships may be available for eligible applicants who are selected for the program.
