The Salvation Army Angel Tree registration begins October 5th for Hancock County Residents

9/29/2020

Registration for the 2020 Salvation Army Angel Tree Christmas Assistance Ministry Program will take place from October 5th-8th and October 12th-13th during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Hancock Resource Center offices, located at 454 Highway 90, Suite B. in Waveland (next to PRCC).  Registrations are by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 228-463-8887.

Families with children from live birth to 12 years of age (at the time of registration) are eligible for the Christmas gift program. A parent or legal guardian must apply for their own children and the person applying must bring a valid photo identification card and proof of Hancock County residency. State-issued, certified birth certificates for all children are required at time of registration. Copies will not be accepted. Applicant must bring documented proof of income and expenses to complete the application.

For families of children who are 13 and older, Teen Angel registration will take place from October 5th – November 19th, also by appointment only.

Please visit www.hancockhrc.org for a list of income and expense documentation required to register. Proof means you must bring all needed items at the time of application.

Children are not allowed at registration appointments. Registrants will not be able to complete their appointment if accompanied by children. Masks are required. If a registrant is ill on the day of the appointment, their application will be completed by phone.

The Salvation Army Teen Angel Tree program in Hancock County is made possible through the coordination provided by Hancock Resource Center and Hope Haven Children’s Services and by the generous donations support from the many volunteers who work tirelessly to bring a bright holiday season to our local families. If you are interested in volunteering for registration of families, distribution of gifts, or adopting an angel, please contact Victoria Mathias at vmathias@hancockhrc.org , Jennifer DeWitt at jdewitt@hancockhrc.org, call 228-463-8887.
