Hancock Resource Center is seeking applicants who need home rehabilitation and/or repair for the Affordable Housing Program (AHP), in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and member institution The First, A National Banking Association. AHP funds allow HRC to provide rehabilitation/construction services to fund necessary home rehab and repair for income-qualified homeowners. The target area for 2016 AHP funds are the Diamondhead area and along I-10 to the county line, north to Hwy 43 and then East to the other side of the county line South of Rocky Hill-Dedeaux Road.
Applications are also being accepted for the Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP), also through FHLB Dallas and The First. These program funds are to complete home repairs, modifications and other accessibility needs for very low-income elderly and/or special-needs homeowners in Hancock County. HRC is also working with Mississippi Power on their Weatherization and Energy Efficiency Program Pilot for income-qualified homeowners.
